My Arewa, the Largest and most Populous, the one that 'must rule
always' Why have you provided most of Nigerian leaders (Sardauna, Balewa,
Murtala, Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha, Abdulsalam and Yar'adua) and yet
remain the most underdeveloped part of the nation? Once you mention 'religion',
even if it's in Denmark, houses and buildings are lit on fire in Maiduguri,
Sokoto, kano or kaduna...why?
"Because religion is a sensitive
issue". Let me ask, who made it 'sensitive'? Okay, even if it's
'sensitive' I can vividly see 'sense' in 'sensitive'. I was privileged to work
in Kano, the commercial capital of the North and by God the level of hypocrisy
I saw changed my mindset about "fanatics". The wealthiest man in
Africa happens to be your son and I can't remember seeing massive factories
with 'Dangote Tower' or 'Dangote Corporate Headquarters' anywhere, why? Come to
Kaduna, the administrative hub, most wealthy Northerners have a house or should
I say mansion there, yet no single world standard airport (only recently did
the Federal Government 'upgrade' it because they want to renovate Nnamdi
Azikiwe International Airport). Can I go to Yobe, the "one main road
state" or should I go to Jigawa, where until recently, all ministries are
scattered across local governments and most officials reside in Kano. Oh
Katsina, who has bewitched you? You produced two presidents (one serving for
the second time) yet, I see nothing in Katsina, Daura or Dutsin ma, going to
Sokoto, the seat of the Caliphate, and I barely see any industry. When will you
discover that giving birth to seventy children from different women and not
giving them any home training ever is the very bane of you communities? When will
you know that that is the beginning of poverty and destruction of the society?
Sending your young males at an infant age to become ‘Almajiris’ is one of the
major cause of decay amongst you because they not only learn the Quran but all
the other vices and wickedness this world gives any child who lacks care and
attention.
Back to the issue, why will your Governors build substandard
roads and you celebrate? Why will "road construction, rehabilitation of
hospitals or housing estates" be the greatest achievements of every
Governor since independence? Indulge me please, are there no resources in need
of processing in the North? Why do you chase away every 'foreigner' once he is
not a 'Muslim' yet open your doors wide for 'irreligious' Lebanese and Indians
because they 'appear Muslim'? Your wealthiest send their kids abroad, where
they go and lose all morals including the 'sensitive religion' you profess.
Their mansions are always in sharp contrast with the neighborhood in which they
are built, yet he builds a mosque in front of it and you rush in to pray
(coming from your thatched mud house) and you allow him remain in power because
'he is a fellow Muslim'. They come from Abuja (the heaven of the North)
spraying money on the untarred road and you rush to pick them on the floor,
your son/daughter gets hit and dies in the process and you call it 'Kaddara'
(predestination). I will not touch Borno, its Boko Haram episode or the 'Fulani
herdsmen' sycophancy you created. In conclusion, may other states not develop into
nations while you remain Local Governments with all your power hunger,
population and religious sensitivity? And may your 'pilgrims' not be treated
like pigs in the Holy Land because they go not for pilgrimage, may your wealthy
and educated transfer half of their investments back home, may the hungry and
wretched amongst you find strength and succor, may your eyes be open to the
realities around you and may those 'sacrificing their wealth' for 'the
Just and Holy cause' (massacre of 'infidels' and the ultimate Islamization of
the nation) get their rewards accordingly.
As large as you are, no single world standard factory, airport,
terminal and any world class infrastructure.
Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!
Note: If the whole world today accepts Islam as a universal
religion, the next massacre will be between Sunni and Shiite, Tijaniya and
Izala, Sufi and Darika and the rest, by the way, where is Sheikh
El-Zakzaaky?
