    THE PROCESS

I was surfing the net some days back and I stumbled on a beautiful story of a young man who wanted to have it all by thirty, I could totally relate with his ambitions, vision and set goals but as I read further, he mentioned and I saw the exact place he missed it. That same day, a friend of mine posted something that would settle my troubles about what that young man wrote. That was when I knew that is a message for me. It is not something new though, in fact, it is something I know and practice each day but getting reassurance and reminder that you are not alone on a path gives an entirely new feel about the journey (especially when you feel you are drifting away).
The young man in the story I read is coming from "nothing" as we often put it, his parents are "nobody's" and he had the best and modest upbringing his parents could afford, and he was and still is super ambitious, he has done well for himself and even made headlines on major international magazines because he is making waves in his field of endeavor, but on the way to becoming bigger and better, he missed a step in the process of remolding and ultimately forgot to change strategies. Not that he is doing bad now (he is still big and doing big things) but according to his account, he would have been better and bigger had he not been carried away by getting to the top more than he cared to check the 'how' and the cost.
I got the whole picture of what he was trying to pass across because I could relate on more than one level, despite the fact that he is on another continent where we on this continent see as beacon of everything that is functioning and good, we have almost same story.

The whole message was based on how we young people, with our ambitions, visions, dreams and hopes want to boycott "due process" or make things happen within the snap of a finger, without having in-depth roots and knowledge of what it takes to get there and ultimately remain there. I can understand in most parts of the world, young people no longer have the patience to wait for the things they dream of come to reality, we are always in a rush to "arrive" at our destinations not minding how the road is and what potholes/pitfalls to avoid or go through. I perfectly understand the various challenges we face and have to overcome on daily basis, challenges like societal and family demands, peer pressure and governance (which is the major player because it determines the standard of living of the people and even the quality of air we breathe) but we often forget that we all have different timings and our calendars can never be all the same, the fact that Mr. A just hit the jackpot does not mean you too must hit it at that time. We are all wired to function differently because we are meant to fill a particular vacuum per time and season albeit we must grow and become better versions of ourselves so that we can perform our roles and fulfill destiny proper. If you are coming from "nowhere" and have an appointment with destiny, you cannot afford to miss or jump a step the process, because it is the same process you are trying to avoid that will determine how long and well you will fare when you get to the top. If you look around you, you will bear me witness that we have seen a lot of people get to the top today and before we could raise our glasses to the toast of victory, they are back to the bottom, simply because they missed a step. It is like school, you cannot enroll high school when you've not been to junior school. If you miss a step, you must go back and take it, sooner or later. Back to my friends post, she wrote "Constantly reminding myself to enjoy the process rather than trying to speed up the clock".
Learn to enjoy the process, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the clock. If you cannot endure the process, I am afraid you cannot enjoy the prize.
    P.S
Even if its not for the prize, the experience you'll get will always come in handy because nothing beats experience.
