    "MAKE-UP ARTIST"

Watching how some of these artists transform the face of someone make one wonder if there are is any room yet to be explored by costume artists and designers. Until recently, nothing was attractive in that line of the entertainment/fashion industry, which as I gather is now one of the leading source of employment for a teaming number of youths and even elders alike globally. Although not keen or personally acquainted with that area, I do wish they can do make-up beyond just facials you'll bear me witness that they concentrate mostly on the face leaving other visible parts without "cover". So you can find someone glowing in gold dust on the face (after the whole foundation, roof and building is completed) but you look down at feet and see defeat.
As reliable as "look at the face to know what is wrong inside" is, I believe we are all experts in the field of "facial make-up". If we must face facts, we are all professionals at putting up appearances and covering those tiny dark spots, pimples, facial/chronic tribal marks and aging lines that run deep down into our souls and spirit. We have even succeeded in making those who do not do what we do feel bad and rejected, like they are not trendy or "civilized" thereby manipulating and seducing more and more people into the art. A group of people using the same artist will be quick in condemning the "customers" of another artist and a vicious circle, which need not be in the first place is set in motion, at which end, everyones "make-up" is washed out by the sweat and struggles of wanting to outshine or better the other. It will be good to keep in mind that all the make-up can never make up for the flaws and marks on the face because the kit is not kitted with the right materials. The funniest "thing" in the make up kit is the 'concealer', its task is to conceal, not clear or heal but to temporarily cover that which will be exposed come rain or sunshine (literally and otherwise).

Or worse still my inside rotten/rotting away? Some people may opt for the former for various reasons, which may be justifiable on explanation, in fact someone once used "there is no second time to make a first impression" as an excuse for "making-up", another said "people will look down and ridicule the real me if I don't make-up", both got away with it. But whatever your reasons for "making-up", be ready to face the mirror when it fades and lest you forget, too much/frequent "make-up" causes wear and tear on the face and body. Another factor to put into cognizance is that people may not really know you (which maybe what you want) and you too may not recognize yourself overtime.
Come as you are. True beauty comes from inside.
