    TALE OF ALL AGES

Here I was watching a Lord with his simpleton journeying. The cart behind, the Lord above while the servant pulled. Bored to the bones, wanting to burn off the cold, the Lord turned to his simpleton and says "I pray you, tell me a tale of all ages" to which the simpleton said "my Lord, for many a years I have served you, what have I done that you now want my head? I know not how to buckle my sandals yet you ask me for the tale of all ages". His Lord in amusement replied "but yet you appear before me daily with your sandals buckled, how then do you go about that business?" The simpleton replied "Aye my Lord, I do appear before you with buckled sandals daily for one day I saw you whip my little Lord because his sandals were unbuckled, being one afraid of the whip, I said to myself 'never unbuckle those sandals Greame' so I never applied my heart to that trade". The now bewildered Lord asked "for fear of the whip you kept your sandals on all these years?" "Aye my Lord, eighteen seasons and a winter" he replied.
Then the sound of Kenny Rogers' "Coward of the County" woke me from my sleep...oh wait I minute, I seldom sleep in the afternoons, could that be a trance or a revelation? But then I thought to myself, "I am Isaac Great, not John the beloved".
