THE RELEGATION OF GOD!

I notice with pain the Hollywood trend of preaching the 'believe in yourself' message in almost every movie and the importance attached to 'faulty deities' and the gradual but steady removal of the word GOD from almost any movie, with the emphasis that man does not need any 'higher hand' or divine presence as long as he believes in himself. I also cannot help but notice that "Jesus", "Christ" or "Jesus Christ" is now becoming (or has already become) a commonly used catchphrase and even a curse word (plus any other thing in between these two). The Almighty God, Creator and Author of all relegated to "the Universe" or "Mother Nature".

As a man of faith, I strongly believe that as a result of our (people who proclaim or belong to individual beliefs) intolerance and 'principles' that must be followed and heights that must be attained in order to obtain or secure "God's love" that caused this mayhem in our beautiful world. Imagine a lot of people growing up in the faith (whichever one) and on reaching the age of accountability, when understanding and knowledge takes forefront, starts to question all that he/she was brought up to believe simply because of the evil and ill they now see being done in the name of that which they grew up believing, with the "Almighty God" at the center of it all. People have over the years developed principles and doctrines which they have tailored to suit a particular purpose or aim they seek to achieve and it appears as if the best and easiest way to acquire, dominate, control and rule in this age is through the use "God". We see humanly designed conditions and demands that must be met before obtaining blessings and love from God (and those demands and conditions are mostly in favor of those who place them, thus have nothing to do with the God they claim to have set those doctrines), albeit that God Himself laid down rules that are meant to make our walk and work with Him smooth and better, we humans, in the quest to dominate and acquire, have succeeded in modifying those so much so that the original manuscript has long been kept by the side or even dumped in the trash can.

How did we get here you may ask, I can simply tell you its our selfish greed and quest for dominance that led us thus far (either on a religious level or denominational level). How else can you explain two people working together for years in a particular sector then all of a sudden break up due to "irreconcilable differences" leaving both parties with no choice than start a new shop because that is all both know best, so you have shop A and shop B selling same products only that shop A accepts all currencies while shop B only takes local currency (which was the bone of contention between the "owners" in the first place). You ask questions and all you hear is "what other trade do you expect me to go into, when I have been doing this for years and is in fact my life's purpose"? 

You don't expect to find an organized house when you leave kids at home unsupervised right? So it is in every facet and aspect of life, when those who are entrusted with taking care of things forget or forsake their mission for personal and selfish aggrandizement. As my grandfather will say "when the Shepherds play or fight, the prey takes the sheep". Need I add that the prey being smarter and swifter knows the exact tool to use, the exact target and time hence the global situation we are in.

We who proclaim or believe in the existence and sovereignty of God Almighty (whichever name you choose to call Him) have long been on each others necks and we have so chocked each other to near death that none of us have the strength to point out where the solution is because we've filled our stomachs too much from greed, grown blind by covetousness and have slow legs from our own heavy weight. Its high time we bring God out of the relegation we sent Him because if we don't, "the Universe" or "Mother Nature" will take over the air and we will finally loose the breathe of fresh air. Agape Love, and Agape Love in it's purest form is the only solution to our problem today. After all the great commandment is "love thy neighbor as thyself"...
